Mutton Haleem
How to make Mutton Haleem - A famous Hyderabadi dish: a tasty and wholesome mixture of mutton, dals and broken wheat
U can take chicken replacing mutton
Ingredients for Mutton Haleem Recipe
Mutton 1/2 kg
Broken Wheat 150gm
Cinnamon 1 inch stick
Bay leaves 2
Onions sliced 3 medium+2 medium+ 1 medium onion sliced
4 tomato chopped
10 green chilies
Ginger paste 1 tablespoon+1/2 teaspoon
Garlic paste 1 tablespoon
1/2 cup tur dal
1/2 cup moong dal
1/2 cup masoor dal
1/2 cup urad dal
Split Bengal gram (chana dal) soaked 2 tablespoons
1 lemon
1 teaspoon chat masala
Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
1 Red chilli powder teaspoon
Salt to taste
Garam masala powder 1/2 teaspoon
2 tablespoons coriander powder
1 cup Fresh mint leaves chopped
1 cup cooking oli
Method
Soak dalia n dals separate for 2 hrs
Take onion, tomato, 3 green chili, garlic and ginger
Make smooth paste in grinder
Heat oil in pressure cooker add paste n saute well
Add garam masala powder n salt mix it well
Now add mutton n cook it for 5 minutes add red chili powder, turmeric powder n coriander powder add 1 glass water n pressure cook it on 5 to 6 whistle
Wait till the air goes out, remove mutton gravy in other heavy deep wok
In the same pressure cooker add soaked dals n dalia,1 sliced onion, 1/2 teaspoon ginger paste Cinnamon, bayleaves, chopped green chilies, turmeric, salt n 1½ltre water as shown in pics, pressure cook it on 3whistle switch off the gas n open pressure cooker lid after 15 minutes open the lid n mix cooked dal in mutton mixture mash n mix well for 10minutes
Now add 1/2 cup mint in wok now cook on low medium flame on gas for 15 minutes
Make barista fry onion in oil n take out in absorb paper
Serve hot garnish with mint, lemon, chaat masala n barista
