Veg Thali

I prepared this pure veg Thali for dinner

Thali loaded with

Dal fry
Gobhi aloo sabzi
Bhindi tawa fry
Galka sabzi
Chapati
Jeera rice
Buttermilk
Salad
Papad
Fruit custard
Peru Kachalu

DAL FRY

Ingredients:-

250gm masoor dal
1 medium size sliced tomato
salt as per taste
3 slit less spicy green chilies
1 teaspoon turmeric powder

For Tempering:-

4 tablespoons cooking oil
1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
6 nos chopped garlic pods
1 curry leaves sprig

Method:-

Dal soaked in water for an hour n then pressure cooked on 3 whistles by adding turmeric powder, salt, green chilies and tomatoes.
Heat oil n tempered dal with garlic,  cumin seeds, garlic and curry leaves.

GOBHI ALOO SABZI

Ingredients:-
250gm cauliflower (Cut into pieces)
4 medium size potatoes (cut each into 4 pieces)
1 medium size sliced tomato
1 medium size sliced onion
Salt as per taste
A big pinch of asafoetida
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon garlic paste
1 teaspoon ginger paste
1 teaspoon spicy red chilli powder
1 teaspoon garam masala powder
1 tablespoon coriander powder
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
Fresh chopped coriander leaves
4 tablespoons cooking oil

Method:-

Heat oil in deep wok, splutter cumin seeds n asafoetida.
Add onion n let them cook till it turn into pink.
Make fine paste of ginger, garlic, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, coriander powder by adding little water.
Add tomato in wok n cook it on  high flame till tomatoes become dry
Add paste n cook till oil starts floating on all over masala(bhuno).
Add potatoes in it, cover the lid and cooked for 5minutes on low flame.
Add cauliflower n cook till it done.
Garnish with coriander leaves.

TAWA BHINDI FRY

250gm ladyfinger (Cut into long)
salt as per taste
A pinch of garam masala powder
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon mango powder
3 tablespoons cooking oil

Method:-

Heat oil on tawa, add ladyfingers n cook till it become soft.
Add salt and all masala's powder n m ix it gently.
Cook till it become crisp.

GALKA

Ingredients

750gm Galka peeled n sliced
1 medium size sliced onion (optional)
salt as  per taste
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
5 nos green chillies chopped
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
4 tablespoons cooking oil

Method:-
Heat oil in deep wok, splutter cumin seeds n green chilies.
Add onion n cooked till the little color change.
Add Galka n mix it well. Cook till get soft
Add salt n turmeric powder in Galka n mix well, cook it on high flame till the  Galka dry/done. In between keep sauteing.

FRUIT CUSTARD

Ingredients:-

1/2 Litre milk
1 &1/2 tablespoon vanilla flavour custard powder
1/2 cup powdered sugar
4 nos bananas sliced
1 chopped apple
1 pomegranates

Method:-

Take 1/2 cup of milk n add custard powder in it n mix till it dissolve.
Boil milk with sugar in saucepan n stir, Add custard paste in boiling milk, keep stirring. switch off the flame n let them cool down on room temperature.
when it cool down add fruits in it.

PERU KACHALU

4 sliced guava (peru)
1/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon black pepper powder
A big pinch  black salt

Method:-

Add sugar, black pepper powder n black salt  in sliced guava, mix n mash mash n mix, refrigerate for an hour before serving.

JEERA RICE

500gm Charminar basmati rice
salt as per taste
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
2 tablespoons cooking oil
water as required

Method:-

Wash basmati rice
Heat oil and splutter cumin seeds, add water n salt mix it.
Add basmati rice n cook till done.

SALAD

2 cucumbers peeled n sliced
2 tomatoes round sliced
1/2 lemon

Method:-

Put all in plate.

BUTTERMILK

Ingredients:-

1 cup curd
1 cup water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 pinch roasted cumin powder (optional)

Method:-

Make smooth buttermilk by adding salt n roasted cumin seeds.

Here my Veg Thali done.
