Mithi Tikiyaan

Enjoy a trusted recipe of Mithi Tikiyaan made with plain flour, semolina, milk, sugar and coconut. Serve at breakfast or any other time. In other language this is called Mithi Mathri.

Ingredients:-

2 cup all purpose flour
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
1/2 cup powdered coconut
1/4 cup semolina
1/4 cup clarified butter
1/2 cup milk
5 nos crushed green cardamom seeds
3 to 4 cups cooking oil for deep fry

Method:-

Grind dried coconut and sugar seperate in mixer grinder.

Take mixing bowl n add all purpose flour, semolina, powdered coconut and clarified butter, rub the  ingredients well.

Now add sugar, green cardamom powder  n sesame seeds n make smooth dough by adding little by little milk. Cover the dough with lid and keep aside for 30minutes.

Take handful dough n roll it direct on kitchen platfom. Before rolling the dough dust all purpose flour on platform and on that flour u can roll the dough easily. Do not roll it thin, roll the dough into 1/2cm.

Take out the biscuits size round shape pieces from rolling dough by using round cookies cutter.

Heat oil in deep wok n deep fry all meethi tikiyan till it turn into golden.
Take it out on absorbing paper, let them cool on room temperature.

Sprinkle powdered sugar on all over tikiyan n serve this meethi tikiyan in breakfast or in teatime.
