Chicken Cheese Momos
A simple recipe, once you get the hang of shaping the dumplings, momos taste delicious when paired with a spicy sauce. In this chicken momo recipe we have used ginger, garlic, spring onions, chicken mince and cheese, but you can experiment with the fillings depending on how creative you are feeling while preparing it. You could also go a step ahead and pan-fry the steamed momos if you like!
Ingredients:-
For Momos
300gm all purpose flour
Salt as required
2 teaspoon Oil
Water as required
For filling
200gm minced chicken
1/2 cup grated cheese
1 onion finely chopped
1 inch finely chopped ginger
5 to 6 no finely chopped garlic
2 tablespoons chopped coriander leaves
Salt as required
1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
Method:-
Make soft dough added salt and oil, cover with muslin cloth n keep aside for 15 to 20 minutes
Take large bowl mix the ingredients of filling (chicken, ginger, garlic, coriander, onion, salt, black pepper and finally add cheese) mix well.
Divide dough into 15 to 16 small portions. Shape them into balls and roll out thinly. Put a teaspoon of the filling in the middle. Bring all edges together to the centre, making small tight pleats.
Pinch and twist the pleats to ensure that the momo is closed tightly. Steam in a steamer for about twenty minutes.
Serve hot with tomato chili garlic sauce.
