Who doesn’t like chips ? I’m sure there would not be a single hand out there that would have raised? Today’s post is for all chips lovers. Here I made hot chips of Bitter gourd. Karele Ke Chips which is spicy, tangy and crispy.The spicy crispies with a very mild bitterness in it makes a great teatime snack and also a perfect side dish with dal rice and khichdi.

Ingredients

500gm Bitter Gourd (Karela)
100gm Gram Flour (Besan)
1tblespn Salt + Salt To Taste (Namak)
1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
1 tsp Mango Powder
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
1/2 tsp Garam Masala Powder
Oil for Frying

Method Of Preparation

Wash and cut the bitter gourd in thin slices. Soak them in 2 cups of water along with salt for 30-mintues.



After 30 minutes drain water and wash bitter gourd in running water. Keep bitter gourd on absorbing paper or kitchen towel to remove all extra water. Let it dry completely.




Now in bitter gourd add gramflour, salt, red chilli power, turmeric powder, garam masala powder and amchur powder. Mix well.




Heat oil and fry marinated bitter gourd in batches on high flame. Fry from both the sides until brown and crispy.




Transfer it on strainer not on absorbing paper otherwise crispy fried chips well turn soft so use strainer.



Let them cool. Serve this bitter gourd chips with adrak ki chai or masala tea and you can also store them in dry airtight containers for a week.
