Surmai Fish Fry
Surmai fish fry/King fish fry
Ingredients:-
1 kg king fish wash n clean (cut into small pieces)
1 teaspoon peppercorns
1 tablespoon coriander seeds
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
1/2 teaspoon fennel seeds
1 pinch fenugreek seeds
10 12 nos dry red chillies
Salt 1 teaspoon or as per taste
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1 teaspoon garam masala powder
1 lemon juice
Oil required for fry + 3tablespoons oil
Method:-
In pan roast coriander seeds, cumin seeds, peppercorns, mustard seeds, fennel seeds, fenugreek seeds n dry red chillies and grind it
In the mixture add salt, red chili powder, garam masala oil and lemon juice mix well
Take fish in large mixing bowl add mixture n mix well
Keep marinated fish in refrigerator for an hour
Heat 4 to 5 tablespoons of oil in nonsticky pan n put fish pieces cover the lid n fry it for 7 to 8mins from both the sides
